Dow Corning, a global player in silicones and silicon-based technology and innovation, inaugurated the Sahayog Building Solutions Centre in New Delhi, recently. Dedicated to providing technical support and customer service, specialists at this new Centre will collaborate with construction industry professionals, providing comprehensive project support, industry-leading technical training and hands-on, skill-building workshops. A primary focus will be on the performance, safety and durability of buildings constructed using Dow Corning silicone materials in a range of applications in new and renovation projects.
According to Mr Jean-Paul Hautekeer – Global HPB Marketing Director at Dow Corning, “The use of silicon based solutions in buildings can help in reducing energy loss by almost 20-30 percent and thus, lead to significant energy conservation. It also increases the life of the building.” With the company’s focus on the Asian markets, it is looking at upcoming economies like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. The company has major manufacturing facilities in Japan, China and Korea.
